We had the chance to go "wheelin" this past week up by the "B" and we went and saw our tree! We carved our names in it almost 2 years ago and it was fun to go back and see it again.

We got invited to go to the zoo with Dylan's engineer Jessie and it was a lot of fun! He has a little girl that is Oakley's age and she's so cute!

Its been months since my last post to here it goes!!

Yellowstone!!!

We went on a little day trip up to Yellowstone and it was a lot of fun! We saw this crazy waterfall...

and we saw Old Faithful of course and got a chance to see some buffalo!

They crossed right in front of us and Dylan just had to stop and take pictures like he's never seen them before haha!

Vegas Baby!!!

Dylan took me to Vegas this last weekend and we had a blast! It was a well needed getaway for me! We drove down Thursday night through the stupid snow but we made it to Vegas safely then off to the strip we went! We just walked around a little bit that night then went back to the hotel. (we stayed at the Sahara) The next day we gambled a little bit and walked around and got CHEAP tickets to the Blue Man Group. If you haven't heard of them they are awesome! We went to their show that night and ate at a really yummy restaurant.
Saturday we went to the mall and just had a lazy day but we did eat at Margaritaville that night and it was sooo good! We woke up Sunday morning, packed and drove back home. It was short and sweet but fun while it lasted!!

New Years day Dylan's brother invited us to go sledding with them. We borrowed some old snow pants from them for Oakley (they were pretty big on her) and we headed to the hill. Oakley looked at the hill, climbed up it with Dylan, and screamed the whole way down haha! She didn't want to go again after that but she still had fun watching all the other kids go!

I'll start with New Years! We went down to Tooele to go hang out with Dylan's brother and we ended up going to Tracks which is a bar/grill place. Some band was playing that night but I don't remember the name haha! We had a great time!!

Please tell me what the point of cleaning up toys is? I clean up after Oakley takes a nap and as soon as she wakes up my house is a wreck again! Oh the joys of having a two year old... But I guess the good thing is she's old enough to help me pick and she sings, "clean ump, clean ump, everybody, clean ump" while she helps! Oh I love her!

We had a great Christmas this year! Dylan was able to be home even though it was his 2 weeks on! My parents and Jeremy and his family came up the night before and we all opened up our presents at my house Christmas morning. Then we cooked a big breakfast for everyone.
Oakley was so fun this year! When I went in her room to get her she was so excited to know that Santa came! We made her hold hands with her cousin Owen and walk out together to see all the presents under the tree. They did their stockings first then they got to open one present while we waited for the rest of the family. Kane fell asleep in the middle of everything. I guess this year just wasn't too exciting for him but he did love all of his presents after he woke up! Everyone got great gifts and it was nice to be with everyone and have a good time!

Kane's Blessing

November 20th we blessed Kane and since my sister Brittany's son was born about 2 weeks after Kane we blessed them on the same day. It was a Saturday and we went to Britt and Dave's church and had their bishop bless both of them then after we had a yummy dinner! It was a great night!

I know its been a while and I've just been lazy but I guess I should update now. First off, THANKSGIVING!

We went up to Star Valley, Wyoming to my mom's aunt's house (which was amazing!!) and had the most amazing Thanksgiving I think i've ever had!The kids played pin the hat on the turkey and my mom's aunt (Teresa) cooked the entire meal and dessert! We spent the night up there then drove back home to be in time for Black Friday!!

Black Friday was hectic as usual but I got some great stuff!! Mostly Christmas presents for my family and a couple things for myself ;) I started up in Park City at the outlets with my mom and sisters and then went to Walmart with just my sisters. We got there a couple hours early to see where everything was then as soon as it was time we grabbed our things and headed to the front to go wait in line to check out. All in all it was way fun and i'll go back every year!

Halloween!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Oakley knew what was actually going on and it was so fun to see her face! I made her costume and she was grapes! She loved it! She never wanted to take it off. Dylan and I were warrior/cave people..lol We went trick or treating on Main Street in Bountiful then we went over to my brother's house and had pizza and hung out for a little bit. Then we went trunk or treating at a church by my brother's house then up around the Bountiful Temple and thats where we saw the headless horseman. It was awesome! After that we drove down to Dylan's brother's house in Tooele and spent the rest of the night there! It was a great Halloween and I can't wait til next year!

Our birthdays!

Since all of our birthdays are in October, I might as well put them all on one post. Dylan's was first on the 9th. I made him french toast for breakfast then later that night we went to dinner at Olive Garden with my brother and his family. Then he wanted to go play pool so Dylan, Jeremy, Matt and I went out and played. Then we just went back to my brother's house and watched a movie. It was a lot of fun to get out for a night!

Next it was my birthday on the 18th! It was the BIG 21! The day went by like it was any other day and I was kind of getting upset like Dylan had forgotten my birthday or he just didn't plan anything. I asked if we could go up to Jackson Hole and he just said "How about another day.." I was so mad!! Then we got a knock at my door and my whole family came up and surprised me!! I was so happy! They brought dinner and cake and ice cream! We all just hung out at my house and it was such a good surprise!

Oakley's birthday was on the 24th! I felt like an awful mom because her birthday wasn't too special or exciting. Dylan had to go on a job that morning and he accidently took my keys with him so we were stuck at home all day. Sooo we made tent and we made a "scary" gingerbread house! She loved it and I hope she knew it was her birthday. We got her an easel and a princess chair and the movie Enchanted and a BIG GIRL BED!! She was so excited to get her bed and she sleeps so good in it! She looks so little in it and it makes me kind of sad but I love it at the same time! I can't believe she is 2!

Utah State Fair 09

So before all this baby stuff happened we went to the state fair. It was a lot of fun! We got some pulled pork stuff for dinner (wasn't that great..) and Oakley got a HUGE $6 corn dog! Then we headed over to the animals and Oakley rode on a pony, which she didn't want to get off of. We walked around after that then decided to go see if there were any rides that she could go on and she picked out the little train ride. She was so excited and Dylan and I were kind of sad to see her go on it all by herself! She is getting so big! Where has the time gone?! We then went and got corn on the cob and it was soooo good! All in all it was a good day! Can't wait for next year!!

He's finally here! Kane came on September 19, 2009 at 3:13 am. Here's how things went:

-Early Friday morning I had a doctor appointment and he checked me, said I was a 3, stretched me to a 4 and stripped my membranes. Man that hurt!

-4:30 that afternoon I started having contractions and I was getting way excited but I didn't want to get my hopes up because I've had false labor so many dang times! I waited at my mom's until about 8:30 then decided to go to the hospital because I started bleeding a little bit. (Because of him stripping my membranes) When I got to the hospital they hooked me up to the monitor and checked me and I was at a 4+ then waited an hour and came in and said that today was my lucky day and Dr. Ward was going to break my water! Yippy!

-10:15 pm he came in and broke my water then I waited in my room for a little bit and decided I was bored so I got up and started walking and man oh man that did some work! I couldn't wait any longer and got my epidural. 30 minutes later the nurse checked me and said "Oh ya you're ready!" I thought he was going to fall out of me while I was waiting and the doctor finally walked in. I did a test push and then they got things ready and I pushed 3 times and at 3:13 am Kane was here! He practically slid out! But he weighed 5 lbs. 14 oz. and was 21 inches long. He had no complications for being so early (36 1/2 weeks) and I was able to hold him right after they cleaned him up. He's so tiny and perfect and we are so blessed to have him in our lives now! We love you Kane!

We officially have a pet! Haha we got a fish! Actually 2! Dylan's mom had gotten Oakley this little fish tank for Christmas and we finally put it together and went and picked out two little gold fish. We asked Oakley what she wanted to name them and she said "Scubbers" haha so we have Scubbers and Scubbie! Dylan and I are hoping they don't die on us and he's terrified that Oakley is going to be devistated if they do but I know she won't understand. So for now this is our first set of fish!

Dylan is the best daddy I think a little girl could ask for. Dylan was gone for the first 9 months of Oakley's life and I think he has made up the time perfectly! She adores her daddy and I love watching them together! They are always laughing and playing and he is the first one to get her if she ever starts crying. Oakley totally has him wrapped around her little finger and he'll pretty much give her anything she wants haha! But I couldn't ask for a better husband and father to my kids. He's the best! I love you baby!

Beecher Family Campout

Every year the Beecher side of the family goes on a campout. Its probably what I look forward to the most each summer! We go tubing down the river (This year I couldn't go because I was pregnant..bummer..) and we have now made a family tradition of having a glow stick parade, kinda weird but so fun! We get hundreds of glow sticks and dress eachother up and go walk through the camp ground and sometimes we even get people that cheer for us. Its pretty funny. Then we always have a yummy dutch oven dinner the last night and its soooo good! Oh I love camping! OH! and this was the first year that Dylan was able to come with us! He loved every minute of it!

Well I am now 28 weeks pregnant! At my last doctors appointment he said he would induce me between the 6th and 10th of October so that Dylan could have everything scheduled with work. (Thats if I don't go sooner!) But I'll be staying down with my parents for the last couple weeks incase that does happen and I won't have to deliver in the icky Rock Springs hospital.
More exciting news! Dylan and I have talked about buying a house down in the Bountiful/Centerville area because this is where we want to be for a while. Dylan will still work up in Rock Springs and just come down on his weeks off. Hopefully it will save us some money because Rock Springs is so dang expensive and it will be nice to be closer to family and friends again!
And little miss Oakley! Oh goodness! That little girl is growing up too fast! She amazes us everyday with all the things she's learning. She is understanding more and more that she is going to have a little brother and she comes and says hi and good morning to him everyday then gives him a big kiss! Its so cute! At the moment she is obsessed with Elmo's World and Yo Gabba Gabba! (Stupidest show in the world but it keeps her entertained) Without fail we watch at least 5 episodes a day... lol But its ok!

Its a BOY!

So we found out we are having a little boy! We couldn't be more excited! Now we have one of each! We have a name picked out but we are keeping it a secret until he is born. Dylan can't wait to teach him how to play baseball and to just have another boy around lol and I can't wait to just see his little face and see if he looks like Oakley at all! Oh I can't wait!!

So I should probably update this and share whats going on! I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and we find out what we're having on the 15th! I can't wait! We also are moving again to a brand new 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, still in Rock Springs.. what a bummer!
Oakley is learning so much lately! She tries so say everything I say and she copies everyone else too! I'm so proud of her. She surprises me everyday with the things she does. Oh I love her so much!
Dylan is doing really good. He is still working at Halliburton (an oil company) and loves his job!
I guess thats us in a nut shell for now! I'll update more soon!

2 Years Already!!!

I can't believe that Dylan and I have already been married for 2 years! April 3, 2007 was the day and now its 2 years later! I feel like its been longer because of everything we've been through but Dylan doesn't feel the same.. of course lol.. We had so much fun that day! We went to dinner at Rodizio Grill and then went and walked around the mall. Dylan decided he wanted a skateboard so we got him one then Dylan surprised me with a beautiful necklace that has an opal with 2 small diamonds above it. Opal is our birth stone and the 2 diamonds are for our 2 babies! I love it! We then stayed at the Anniversary Inn that night and we stayed in the Sun Valley room. It was like sleeping in a log cabin and it was awesome! lol I totally forgot to bring my camera with us. I was so mad!! But I can't imagine my life without Dylan. He is my rock and my best friend. Love you baby!!

My first appointment!

So today Dylan, Oakley and I went to my first doctor appointment and everything went well. They did all the usual stuff and then they did an ultrasound which I was very excited about! We were so happy to only see one baby and not two because twins run in my family. But yep, we have one healthy little peanut and I'm due October 17, the day before my birthday, so I'm 8 1/2 weeks pregnant right now. My whole family will now have October birthdays! WOW! Nobody plan anything that month because its going to be super busy!!

The second time around...

So being pregnant for the second time is awful! Especially when I'm running after a 1 1/2 year old all day. It gets exhausting! Stupid things make me nausaus all the time like the smell of my car and toothpaste! I can't even go grocery shopping because everything in the store looks discusting! I'm craving fruit again just like I did with Oakley but I'm still hoping that this is going to be a boy. We'll see! But I guess things could be worse. I'm not throwing up at all so thats nice and I'm hoping that it all goes away soon. Wish me luck!

Oakley's 1st Haircut!

So Oakley's hair was getting out of control! And I couldn't handle it anymore! She was born with about an inch of hair all the way around and it just kept growing, nothing ever fell out. So I took her to Cookie Cutters (way awesome place, highly recommend it) and she was so cute sitting in her little car, watching Madagascar. She got bangs and an "A" line cut. Its so cute! I was so proud of her and now she can't stop saying "Pretty, pretty" as she touches her hair! She now looks like a big girl.

So I just found out that I am pregnant again! We are so excited! I'm only about 5 or 6 weeks along but I'm pretty sure my due date will be around October 17th. We can't wait to see this little bundle of joy! I will have more updates soon!

What a blessing it is to have a little girl! She is so amazing and so fun to be with! Oakley Marie Miller was born on October 24, 2007, weighing 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 inches long. I had an amazing pregnancy with no complications and I was so grateful to have a somewhat easy delivery. She is our little sunshine and seeing her smile turns a bad day into a great day! She is now 16 months old and is learning so much everyday! What a smart little cookie she is!

How we met

So Dylan and I have known eachother for about 12 years, crazy I know. He is my brother's best friend and I've always had a little crush on him. He joined the army and at the time he was in Iraq. One day he emailed me on myspace just asking how things were going and that's when things started going. We both found out that we had crushes on eachother (sounds so cheesy!) and we talked nonstop whenever we could. He came home in December 2006 and we went on our first date. We got engaged in February and married in April. Fast I know but Dylan left 6 days after we got married to go to Germany. You gotta love the Army right? I stayed with my parents while he was gone and when Oakley was born in October he came home for 2 weeks and then he had to leave again. Dylan finally got out of the Army in August 2008 and its been so nice to have him home!
